A. Yes, Kitty's Crumble has been designed to feel moist. Cats prefer a litter that feels more natural and earth-like.

Q. I notice my cat scratches the litter in the tray-is this normal?
A. Yes - this is very normal. It is a natural action by cats, it also indicates the cat is happy to use the litter.
Q. My cat is not using Kitty's Crumble.
A. Make sure the litter tray is placed in a quiet part of the house, and is easily accessible to your cat. Ensure the litter tray is free of solid wastes. The litter may need to be replaced or topped up with fresh litter. Remember, cats are extremely fussy about their hygiene. If using Kitty's Crumble for the first time you can mix 1 part Kitty's Crumble with 1 part of the current litter, then gradually increase the amount of Kitty's Crumble over the ensuing weeks.
Q. What are the ingredients of Kitty Crumble cat litter products?
A. Kitty's Crumble is made from coir, a 100% renewable resource. The processing produces grains of material specific to achieving optimum absorbency and odour elimination. Coir is the ultimate environmentally friendly resource as it is grown without the need of irrigation, fertilisers, pesticides or chemicals.
Q. Is it okay to flush it down the toilet?
A. No. Used litter should only be disposed of in the trash. We do not recommend flushing
any cat litter down the toilet.
Q. Is it unsafe for pregnant women to handle unused cat litter?
A. Unused cat litter is safe for handling by pregnant women. However, pregnant women should avoid handling any brand or type of used cat litter.
Q. Is Kitty's Crumble safe for animals other than cats?
A. Yes, it can be used for large and small animals. It can be used in small hutches for small animals, in birdcages and aviaries, in reptile tanks, and for large litter trays for dogs.
Q. Is Kitty's Crumble harmful to cats or other animals if ingested?
A. NO. It is safe since it is inert and contains no chemicals that could be harmful to pets. Unlike some other litter it will not swell in the digestive system and cause problems. However, if a pet eats a large amount of any litter (e.g., a bowlful), we recommend that you consult a veterinarian.
Q. Is Kitty's Crumble biodegradable?
A. Yes. Kitty's Crumble is biodegradable and we suggest that used litter (with solids removed) be used in garden soils and compost bins.
Q. Is Kitty's Crumble cat litter flammable or combustible?
A. No. Whether fresh or soiled, Kitty's Crumble is not flammable when used for pet litter.
Q. I understand that litters containing crystalline silica are unsafe.
A. Yes they are. However Kitty's Crumble does not contain any crystalline silica as it is 100% organic.
